Strong enough to hang a mini!
We’ve been asked this many times before so here it is in black & white: Schmoolz are not considered a piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE as defined in Directive 89/686/EEC) and therefore don’t require, and are not allowed to be CE-marked.Because there so radical and unique, there’s no standards for dry tools – however, we’re trying to set the standards by producing the strongest tool available.
Each batch of tools that are produced is tested to destruction, using a tensile test. Tools are attached to hydraulic pressed and a force of 50kN per second is applied, increasing until the tool fails.
Tests have produced some impressive results – on average each tool fails at 4.63kN. This is roughly equivalent to 483 kgs which means that a pair of tools could happily hang a mini metro.
